I very much agree with your view on how the Church emphasizes too much on the divinity of Jesus. I remember the time when the Church condemned "The Da Vinci Code" because it's depiction of Jesus was "incorrect" to say the least, what with mentioning that Jesus had a wife and children. Whether those are true or not, what matters is that Jesus was a reflection of how God loved us, not just because of His death on the Cross, but because He lived a life full of love and compassion for His fellow brethren. I do hope that your faith in God doesn't waver because of the understanding of other people.
